heisenberg was right. the act of observing changes the observed. everything in the universe is interconnected and everything affects everything else... at least, in some small way. each decision we make is important, and changes the course of our lives. everyone we come into contact with affects who we are... and we affect everyone we come into contact with too.
of course, buddhists and taoists knew all of this a long time ago.
